Business Careers Awareness Program

Each summer, we invite high-achieving underrepresented high school juniors starting their senior year in the fall to participate in our Business Careers Awareness Program (BCAP). This program brings students to campus for a week, enabling them to discover the many opportunities available in accounting and business. It also gives you a chance to meet other high school students from throughout the state, as well as current Mays students and faculty.

Thanks to our sponsors, Ernst & Young, Shell Oil, and Boeing this program is available at no cost to you. Through the program, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn the essentials of how a business operates.
  • Learn how executives make business decisions.
  • Find out what types of jobs are available in business.
  • Talk with former A&M students and business executives.
  • Discover what college life is like at A&M (you'll stay in Traditions at Northgate residence hall)

And students who attend BCAP and enroll at Texas A&M are eligible for a Boeing Foundation Excellence Scholarship.
